We've been growing Sangiovese for about 10 years now, and it's been a really rewarding variety for us. Originally from Tuscany, the name means 'Jupiter's Blood', and it was very popular in ancient Rome. It Italy it is often blended with other varieties, and even white wines like Chianti. It's famous as a food friendly style - which as you should know, of which we are big fans! - and is relatively new in Australia.
